Quality Inspection Equipment

Spectral Instrument

In the hardware manufacturing industry, spectral instruments are a key inspection equipment used to analyze and measure the chemical composition of materials. Spectroscopic instruments detect the type and content of elements in materials by means of emission or absorption spectroscopy to ensure that materials meet specific quality and performance standards, improve product reliability and consistency, reduce scrap rates, and improve quality control throughout the production process.

Detection Process

01 Preparatory work

Before performing the spectral analysis, ensure that the surface of the sample is clean to remove oil, oxides, or other impurities that may affect the test results. For metal samples, the surface is usually cleaned by grinding, polishing and other methods, and the sample is cut or processed to the appropriate size for easy detection in the test window of the spectrometer.

02 Equipment calibration

Before testing, the spectrometer is calibrated with a standard sample to ensure the accuracy of the test. The standard sample has a known composition, which is used to adjust the measurement accuracy of the spectral instrument, perform background correction according to the detection requirements, and reduce the interference of ambient light and equipment noise on the detection results.

03 Spectral detection

According to the material type and detection requirements, select the appropriate spectral analysis mode, start the spectral instrument, the instrument generates spectral signals by exciting the sample surface, and collect the signals. During the detection process, the instrument will record the spectral data and analyze it through software.

04 Data analysis and interpretation

The spectral instrument software will process the collected spectral data, generate spectral peak spectra of each element, identify the types and content of each element in the sample according to the peak position and intensity of the spectrum, and compare the test results with standard requirements or expected material components to confirm whether the material meets the regulations.

05 Report generation

The spectroscopic instrument generates a report on the test data and analysis results, including sample information, test conditions, element composition and content, as well as the results compared with the standard, the test report is used to assess the conformity of the sample, and if necessary, make production adjustments or material replacement.

06 Data storage and traceability

Archive the test results for subsequent quality traceability and analysis, and conduct quality trend analysis through regular testing of the same material or product to ensure the continuous stability of the production process.
